Sa Pa Vietnam

April 6-10 in SaPa Vietnam

There is a lot to see in northern Vietnam. No doubt you've heard about Ha Long bay as it is a UNESCO world heritage sight. Most people have hear of it and have maybe even been there. This spring our team travelled even further north into the mountains of Sa Pa. The popularity of this area is growing quickly and for good reason.

From Hanoi we hopped on an overnight sleeper train and enjoyed a relatively smooth trip . The train set out at 9:30 pm and rocked and bounced us along until 5am when we arrived in Sa Pa. Disembarking the train and getting on a bus with a bunch of other travelers . An hour on the bus and we arrive in the quaint if touristic town of SaPa. There are some nice places to stay and some great food to eat. In 5he morning we bought new hiking boots for 30 bucks and met our guide. Setting out on foot down the long winding mud drenched paths toward the sapa villages. Along the way we saw beautiful terraced rice fields and met a lot of local villagers in traditional garb.
